My path into counselling began in 2017 when my then-teenage daughter accessed therapy. Being part of her journey gave me a deep appreciation for how much courage it takes - for children and for parents - to reach out for support. And I just knew that I wanted to be part of the process for others in a similar situation. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about creating a calm, and safe space for children, young people and adults alike.
As a qualified adult and young person integrative counsellor, I draw from various therapeutic models to offer sessions that align with my client's needs. I might use a person-centred or psychodynamic approach or maybe CBT or Transactional Analysis, or I might blend play, art or story with talking therapy to help people make sense of their feelings in a way that feels safe and manageable.
I offer calm, confidential support for adults, children and young people in Kent. Whether you’re supporting a child or seeking support for yourself, my approach is relaxed, grounded, and always tailored to the person in front of me - whether that's in-person in central Dartford or Welling, or online!
MY PROMISE TO YOU: Anytime you are in session with me, you WILL have a voice, you WILL be seen and you WILL be heard.

At Talk. Listen. Change Counselling & Wellbeing, I believe in a holistic approach to mental health as I feel that the mind, body and spirit/essence/soul (however you want to see it!) are entwined.
Therefore, I focus on the person as a whole, addressing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being to bring everything into balance.

As well as counselling adults, I work with a lot of children and teenagers across Kent and the South East.
I am qualified to work with children from 4 years upwards and am passionate about working through issues from a youngish age which will stand children in good stead as the approach their teenage years and things can become too much.

I truly believe that counselling should be preventative rather than reactive.
I don't think that therapy should only be for crisis situations - quite the opposite - it should be supportive and steadying, where clients learn emotional tools, understand their patterns, and build resilience long before life feels overwhelming.

Anxiety and depression frequently occur together. Nearly half of people with depression also experience anxiety, and vice versa.
CBT and looking at lifestyle tweaks are usually the most effective treatments for both issues as sufferers will often avoid situations that make them uncomfortable. I help clients to develop the skills and mindset to handle these disorders.

OCD is ranked 5th out the top six common health disorders in the UK. It is a very distressing mental health issue and as of 2025, the number of 16-24 year olds in England reporting symptoms of OCD, has more than tripled in a decade.
It is a debilitating condition which is so much more than extreme cleanliness. My daughter suffers from it so I have personal knowledge of how isolating and ruinous it is to a person's health.

Working through trauma in therapy can address challenges from various traumatic experiences, such as childhood trauma, domestic violence, bullying, racism and natural disasters.
Trauma is a response to an intensely stressful situation and although the effects are undoubtedly deep-rooted and distressing, healing is possible.
If you in this place, please know that I'm here to offer non-judgemental and unconditional support for as long as it takes.

Positive psychology has practical applications across workplaces, education, mental health, to name a few instances.
By using techniques such as gratitudes, mindfulness, strength-based coaching, journalling and resilience training to work in the present and look at the good things happening, rather than focusing on what isn't working right now, I can help you to achieve your personal and professional goals. I offer guidance, support, and motivation to help you identify your strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve success in all areas of your life.

Grief is a natural emotional response to loss and can occur after any negative major life change. It isn't limited to the death of a loved one, it can also be the loss of a job, a friendship, health, financial stability - even unfulfilled dreams and goals.
I can support you by facilitating emotional processing, normalising grief and reducing feelings of isolation. We can work together to develop healthy coping strategies and I will help you to adjust to life after loss.
Grief never goes away but life can grow around it.

(Healthy) anger is a normal human response that kicks in when there are perceived threats, stress or frustration. It helps you assert yourself, set boundaries, and address injustices without harming yourself or others. Conversely, unhealthy anger does the opposite and is often aggressive and oppressive.
Anger management involves recognising, understanding, and controlling your anger in healthy ways to prevent harm to yourself or others. I aim to provide guidance and support to help you identify the root causes of your anger, develop coping skills, and improve your relationships with others.
